Lovely dress!
Bought this dress online and ordered my normal size and it fits really well and is true to size. The fabric is good quality and looks lovely. Not sure if I would have paid the full price on this dress as it is quite expensive but I was lucky to get my size at sale price.

Design is not excellent ….
I really wanted to make up my own mind about this dress as I like it so much! However, I should have perhaps taken more notice of other reviews, as I now agree with many of them! The armholes are most definitely much too large showing you bra and everything else; the zip fastener is appalling as it has to ride over a very lumpy waist seam and is so difficult to pull up …. I gave up! The lining was weird … bodice lined at the back and not the front and a very short skirt lining! I am not sure who designed this but they were certainly not a designer! The way the garment was made was absolutely awful! Having been in dress and design for years I was appalled! Certainly not worth the money …. What a shame it could have been a very smart dress!!

Quality and go anywhere dress
Love this dress - simple and elegant. Love the calf length and material is a nice thickness to cover figure imperfections. Belt adds shape and attention to detail in lining. Felt confident that it was smart and summery at the same time. Will get a lot of wear out of this dress so although not cheap feel definitely worth the investment.

Perfect smarter dress for hot weather
This dress really exceeded my expectations. I always consider quality of fabric and this dress is made from high quality heavy weight linen with lots of body - not the saggy thin linen all too often on offer. The style is perfect if you want something a bit smarter and more structured than many linen dresses. It is quite fitted with an invisible zip in the side seam that keeps it neat. It falls to mid- calf on me at 5’5” so easy to wear with bare legs on hot days. I also love the neat pockets in the side seams, wide belt and buttons at back neck which all help to keep the dress structured and stylish whilst being comfortable and cool. I was worried the arm holes may gape as sone reviews suggested but this isn’t the case for me. I an see though that if you are smaller around the chest this might be an issue. I also like the cotton lining in the skirt section up to the split - so glad this is cotton and not sweaty polyester! And the split is great; it stops the dress being frumpy and us practical for walking and not too high if you’re worried about showing too much leg! I think this is probably the best review I’ve written for M&S but I am bowled over by this quality, stylish, well designed and practical dress - a winner

Best M&S Dress this Summer
The problem is that I ordered it in a size 22 and find it too big for me - and now there are no size 20's left! It is Lined and has Pockets - Brilliant nice fabric, arms holes a bit big.
